Mount Gay PX Sherry Cask Rum (45%)

Part of the Master Blender Collection, this PX Sherry Cask Expression from Mount Gay highlights a more pronounced cask influence. After initial maturation in Barbados, the rum is finished in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, resulting in a deeper and richer profile.

This influence is immediately apparent on the nose, with dried fruit, raisins and figs alongside notes of cocoa and gentle spice. The profile is concentrated without becoming heavy.

On the palate, it shows depth and texture, with layers of dark caramel, chocolate and candied fruit. The sweeter sherry notes are balanced by oak and spice, keeping the profile focused.

The finish is long and rounded, with lingering dried fruit and cocoa, followed by a light spice that brings it to a composed close.
