Mount Gay Black Barrel Double Cask (43%)

Mount Gay Black Barrel places a clear emphasis on cask influence, showcasing a more intense side of Barbados rum. Selected rums are re-casked in heavily charred ex-bourbon barrels, adding depth and structure.

The nose is warm and expressive, with toasted wood, vanilla and pronounced spice, backed by notes of dried fruit and a touch of caramel.

On the palate, it is fuller and more assertive than lighter expressions, with roasted notes, spice and a subtle smokiness. Despite this, it remains balanced, with enough roundness to keep it approachable.

The finish is medium in length, with lingering spice and lightly smoky notes.
