The time in teak brings a drier, spiced undertone, ex-bourbon casks add roundness, vanilla and softer sweetness, and the finishing period in cherry wood introduces an extra layer of refinement with a subtle fruity accent and a darker, gently spiced edge.

That approach gives the rum a broader range than you often find in a bottling built around a single cask type. In the glass, it opens with honey, dried fruit and warm spice, followed by notes of vanilla, caramel and polished wood. As it develops, hints of clove, fine tannin and a lightly balsamic depth begin to emerge, giving the rum more shape through the mid-palate. The texture stays rounded without becoming heavy, and the interplay between sweeter cask tones, spice and that slightly exotic undertone gives it real length and presence.
