Rhum J.M. VSOP (43%)

Rhum J.M VSOP is a matured rhum agricole from northern Martinique, produced at the distillery located at the foot of Montagne Pelée. This expression undergoes approximately four years of ageing through a two-stage maturation process: initially in heavily toasted American oak ex-bourbon barrels, followed by further integration in large oak vats (foudres). This approach allows for both aromatic extraction and gradual harmonisation.

The aromatic profile balances the fresh, vegetal cane character with refined ageing notes. The nose reveals exotic fruit, quince and vanilla, supported by warm oak and subtle spice. On the palate, it is rounded and structured, showing caramel, light toffee, cocoa and gentle spices such as cinnamon and ginger. A delicate smoky nuance and elegant oak framework add further depth.

The finish is harmonious, warm and lightly spiced, with a refined balance between fruit, wood and spice.
