With Masskara, Don Papa takes a different approach, focusing on flavour through the use of local Philippine ingredients. Inspired by the colourful Masskara Festival, this release highlights aroma and taste over traditional rum structure.

The base rum from Negros is infused with ingredients such as calamansi (a local citrus fruit) and siling labuyo (a small, spicy chilli), and sweetened with local honey, creating a more aromatic and expressive profile.

The result is a vibrant and approachable style, where fresh citrus and sweetness are balanced by light spice and a subtle heat. The emphasis is on flavour and accessibility rather than complexity from ageing.
