The Don Papa Quincentennial Edition – Bourbon & Port Casks is a rare and distinguished limited-edition rum crafted to commemorate the 500th anniversary of the first circumnavigation of the globe. 
Hailing from the lush sugarcane fields of Negros Island in the Philippines, this rum is produced by the Bleeding Heart Rum Company using rich molasses and traditional column still distillation. It undergoes an initial maturation in ex-bourbon American oak barrels, which lays the foundation of its structure, before being finished in port wine casks. This combination of bourbon and port maturation yields layered depth, merging tropical intensity with sophisticated barrel influence.

On the nose, expect deep notes of licorice, dark chocolate, polished oak and a touch of vanilla, evolving into nuances of blood orange and ripe berries. The palate reveals toasted oak, cinnamon, Arabica coffee and toffee, balanced by a melting sweetness of brown sugar and delicate fruit accents. The finish is long, dry and refined, with lingering impressions of dark cocoa and dried fig that carry richness and refinement.
